I was attracted to this submission originally by its realism features, the ferocity of the hunter and the hunted. The detailing in both dinosaurs is brilliant, you can clearly identify the difference between the feathery and furry hide of the predator and the scale-like hide of the prey, and the details on each help define this nicely.
The dinosaur designs are close to flawless, could have perhaps added a much bolder outline to each as some parts threaten to blend into the background image which isn't good due to the distance between the dinosaurs and what is in the background of this picture.
Shadow of the lower dinosaur is good, however appears a little flat, I believe a stretching shadow of the predator is also needed. Although he/she is resting on top of it's prey, at any focal point of light it would still cast off a slight shadow.
Your background looks very fitting to the scene, although in parts the quality appears lacking. If this is to give off a "haze" effect, which would be ideal in the desert conditions, I think it requires a little more of a hazy glow about it. Apart from this, the background features nice texture and color to compliment the submission.
